Windows Sharepoint Services is integrated well with Microsoft Office 2003. Sharepoint can control versioning, share office documents and keep lists for group members.
In addition, things like contact lists, calendars, document libraries can all be synchronized and linked to applications like Microsoft Outlook.
As a collaboration tool, Microsoft Sharepoint Services can fill the remote gap your business may be experiencing and provide you with a functional way for your employees to work more tightly.
The Windows Sharepoint Services sites can also have custom templates applied to change the look and feel. It's not just a static, but a dynamic application that you should consider if you need to bridge a distance gap, or require an on-line contact, document, calendar, list, or polling system.
